I think these utilities are useful only when you have multiple VM
systems. If I'm wrong someone can step in and correct me!

Hi,
SYSMON and SYSWATCH monitor disconnected service virtual machines.
If these machines are not on your local node then RSCS must be working.
Also, they can monitor one machine or many. You can find documentation on
them in the 'z/VM CMS Command and Utility Reference' Colleen M Brown
